This Culture-content it's just about my Pinterest or personal opinion on the above statusSUBJECT & Culture trend •Obedum!

So, Obedum community is a town located in Abua/Odual local government area, Rivers State of Nigeria.

The name OBEDUM is a native name and a somewhat-term used by the then ancestors or FOUNDING-FATHERS of the land after its discovery and settlement. Well, the interpretation of the said name is often being misunderstood or misconstrued by people everywhere.

And though, stories-upon-stories had been fore-told about the history of the aforementioned community or statusSUBJECT, but how in the heck where the Founding-Fathers able to locate or discover such an enriched and blessed land in this here-making? 

Though, many of the people understood nothing whatsoever about the origin and true-meaning/history of it's name as given by the founding-Fathers not-so-ever.

The name OBEDUM is simply interpreted to mean a Large-Expanse-of-land, simple, and that's all.

Hence, from the aforesaid it can be observed that the Founding-Fathers were real Strong-Leaders given the fact that they had to travel such a far-stretch distance in the bid to search for a liveable-world and a secured place for it's people. This is really a commendable-feat, since it wouldn't be easy for a person or group of people to travel this far just for a quest-to-locate a greener-world.

Obedum community is an Ancient City, though a small country town which is located in the heart of Rivers state, Nigeria. It's location is within the region of the Upper Orashi River Forest Reserve which is being reserved and protected for reasons best known by the-then Old Rivers State Government. This reserved area is a Virgin Land and has a lot to be discussed about to which will not be covered here-in.

Obedum is currently a small town given the fact that it's death rates and many other misunderstood calamities that strucked the town had reduced it's population seize and land mass since they're no more people to engaged in Culture-activities such as Farming, Fishing, Lumbering, Sky-setting, etc. 

Many-other activities also referred to as Culture-codes are; Business, Storytime, DanceFU, Scating, Stargazing, Music & Dance, Comic-adventure, Play-showz, etc... just to maintain and protect it's land area from invaders and neighbor-villagers. And so, as a result, it had always been intimidated by it's neighbors since the death of the then founding fathers or Fore-Fathers as some call it. These were the only people who protected the land and stood for it's people and so they're able to protect the land from invaders and thieves, and so also the said landboundaries, rich resourches, forests and numerous many others were kept protected while they remained alive.

But as fate may have it, this really never lasted long enough after the death of those strong Men and Women, and since they're no more strong people to stand for the land and fight for it's people, most of the rich land areas were invaded.

More so, following the topography, mappings, bearings and co-ordinates as viewed from Google_Earth, and other mapping system providers, it can be observed that the entire-scope of the aforesaid town is a thick-tiny-forest but having a superb climate system, green shrubs, mangrove forest habitat, River creekside navigation routes, blue cloud entrance, plus wild life forests inclusive. And furthermore, this city may have been forgotten since the death of it's Founding Fathers, and probably because no one and hardly nobody was there to speak for it's people.

And this maybe a terrible incident since Ocean navigators, Explorers, Developers, Angel Investors, Internationalbusiness Men, International Organisations, Nonprofitorganisations, Culture custodians and many others wouldn't be able to locate the many talented youths, who are citizens of the said community. Currently, the said town is harboring a lot of youths with potentials, who are youths filled with different skills and talents being buried, and most of which are not stated here-in.

Also, Obedum community is sorrounded by Creeks and Rivers of fresh flowing waters round it's island. 

Currently, It's neighboring communities includes; Oruma, Odau and Emirikpoko.
